Last week LHV launched the ability for its customers to pay with Fitbit and Garmin smartwatches, offering the customer a convenient way to pay with their smartwatch or tracker.
Fitbit and Garmin are smartwatches/trackers which enable mobile contactless payment in store. The payment is secure as the actual card number is not stored on the device and every payment transaction has a number linked to the watch with a unique transaction code.
Payair is proud to have assisted LHV and Mastercard in this digital payment project providing pre-digitization and enabling tokenization of LHV’s cards towards Mastercard’s MDES platform.
