Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our new backend products. You will be closely working with other teams (located in Poland and Sweden) on developing new fintech products and services for the biggest players on the financial market, including Mastercard, Visa, PSPs, and Tier 1 banks.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining software applications and programs using Java technologies
  • Participating in code reviews and following established design standards
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Contributing to technical discussions and providing input on implementation approaches
  • Working with team members to identify and resolve technical challenges
  • Breaking down user stories into implementable tasks and providing time estimates
  • Collaborating with the product owner to understand requirements and implement features
  • Testing and debugging code to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to team success

Required skills

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in Java development
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
  • Knowledge of best practices in application security and secure coding
  • Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience in developing payment applications is a huge asset
  • Some experience with Quarkus framework is a huge asset as well
  • Fluent English is a must (min. B2 level)
  • Team player with a positive attitude and can-do approach to problems and challenges
